Here's something pretty for the weekend. I snapped this photo yesterday. Japanese anemones reaching towards the sky.

Can you believe August is nearly over? How did that happen? I refuse to believe all the lovely weather we've been having is nearly over, even if it is a little grey around here. Here's three things I love right now, floral edition because nothing cheers up a dull day better than some bright, sunny flowers.
1. These paper flower cone bouquets on Oh Happy Day caught my eye.
2. Love these vintage style printable handkerchiefs from Eat Drink Chic. I think they'd make great invitations or thank you notes.
3. And have you seen these amazing hand painted cakes from Nevie-Pie Cakes? So beautiful. You can find more of their stunning cakes on owner Natasha Collins' blog Amelia's House. Definitely worth a look.
I know, I know, it's another cheesy biscuit party snack. I can't help it. I love them. I'd eat them all day every day if they weren't 98% cheese and probably really bad for me.
Ingredients (makes around 30 biscuits)
100g Grated Parmesan
2 tsps Sesame Seeds
2 tsps Poppy Seeds
Preheat oven to Gas 6 or 200C.
Mix together the grated Parmesan, poppy seeds and sesame seeds.
Next cover a baking tray in greaseproof paper.
Using a round biscuit cutter sprinkle in a heaped teaspoon of the cheese mixture.
Repeat and fill the rest of the tray.
Bake for 5 - 10 minutes until crisp and golden.
Leave to cool before very carefully removing with a palette knife.
I want to say these Parmesan crisps are really easy to make and they are but a little trial and error was needed before I got them just right. If the Parmesan was too thin it burnt quickly and crumbled as I tried to slide them off the greaseproof paper (see below). Too thick and they ended up more chewy than crisp. So be patient and make a trial batch first. I promise they're worth the effort.
Pinterest strikes again. I've had stamps on the brain since pinning this tutorial for diy tag shaped stamps from Creature Comforts. I love the idea of making my own rubber stamps out of office supplies. These are a few of my ideas so far.
