BANANA CHOCOLATE CHIP LOAF.

Banana Chocolate Chip Loaf

It's still hit and miss with the weather around here. Three glorious sunny days were followed by a grey and drizzly sunday so comfort food was needed. Enter this amazing chocolate chip banana cake. I think I ate most of this myself and I definitely recommend it the next day accompanied by a cup of tea and smothered in butter. Perfect.

Ingredients.

250g plain flour

2 teaspoons of baking powder

125g unsalted butter (softened)

2 eggs

225g caster sugar

4 mashed bananas

100g chocolate chips (I used some chopped up Cadbury's Whole Nut)

1. Preheat the oven to 190c or gas 5.

2. Sift the flour and baking powder into a large bowl. In a separate bowl mix the butter, eggs, sugar, bananas and chocolate together. Fold this mixture into the dry ingredients.

3. Pour into a loaf tin and bake for at least an hour and 15 mins. Slice when cool
