DIY Origami Fox Box.
Today, I want to talk about a super fun and versatile project: modular origami fox boxes, also known as triangular boxes or pyramid boxes.
These little cuties are not only adorable but also surprisingly easy to make. In fact, I think they might be the easiest diy box I've shared so far.
Origami Triangle Box.
The fox boxes we’ll be making are made up of a strip of paper that is folded like an accordion before being unfolded and rolled into a geometric triangular shape.
It’s actually made of two pyramid shapes (a triangular bipyramid) back to back.
These simple pyramid-style boxes or pouches are great for holding loose candies like Skittles or M&M’s and would make fantastic party favours.
Origami Triangle Pyramid Box.
They’re the perfect origami project for younger kids as well as older kids and adults. You can make them in as many different sizes, colours and patterns as you like. I made them double-sided cardstock and filled them with some M&M's.
String up your finished geometric boxes using a needle and thread for a pretty garland or room decoration. Fill them with treats for a wedding favour or hand them out at the end of a holiday gathering.
They can even be turned into cute paper necklaces or bracelets for the kids!
Supplies:
Scrapbook Paper or Lightweight Cardstock

How To Make An Origami Triangular Fox Box.
1. Cut your card or paper into strips.
For the big pyramids I cut 2 x 12-inch strips and for the small pyramids, I cut 1.5-inch x 12-inch strips.
If you're a paper hoarder like me this is a great project for using up all those leftover paper scraps.
2. Fold a small triangle at one end of the strip.
3. Keep folding triangles back and forth to form an accordion.
4. Open the strip back out and refold along all the straight folds but this time in the opposite direction to make your paper strip curl around.
5. Roll your paper strip around to form the pyramid shape. It's going to look like 2 pyramids stuck together.
6. Keep wrapping until you're left with a square at the end of your pyramid. Cut away to leave a triangle shape.
7. Tuck the end in to finish your triangular origami box.
