Valentines Charcuterie Board.
Want to make something special for Valentine’s Day but don’t want to do any cooking? Create a sweet and savoury charcuterie board for a delicious snack or meal.
Charcuterie boards are all the rage, so why not make one for Valentine’s day? I’ve rounded up 18 of my favourites for you to share with your partner, kids, family or friends. Make them sweet or savoury or a little bit of both. The combinations are endless.
The best thing about putting together one of these boards is that you can make them however you want. There are no rules or recipes to follow. But if you’re not sure where to start here are a few tips.
How to create a Valentine’s Day Charcuterie Board?
Work from the centre out.
If you’re not sure where to begin, start from the centre and work out. If you’re going the sweet route a big bowl of pink candy or a heart-shaped bowl of strawberries can make an impressive centerpiece.
For a savoury board, how about some baked brie topped with juicy honey-balsamic roasted strawberries or this walnut and honey baked brie.
Fill small bowls with chutneys, sauces or dips like chocolate or honey. Anything messy and place them on next.
Fill the gaps with the remaining foods.
Some snack ideas for your Valentine’s Day Charcuterie Board:
Crackers, breadsticks, pretzels, crostini
Nuts (these candied walnuts would be a fantastic addition)
A selection of cheese
Cured meats
Strawberries
Raspberries
Chocolate truffles
Jammie Dodgers (a favourite in our house)
Hearts shaped chocolate and sweets
Love Hearts (another favourite)
Marshmallows
Chocolate dipping sauce
Honey
Pickles and chutney
You get the idea. Grab all your favourite snack foods and combine them to make a delicious brunch board or a sweet dessert platter. Bonus points if you have a heart-shaped cookie cutter and want to make some tiny heart-shaped pieces of cheese or sandwiches.
And don’t forget to make a batch of this Valentine’s Day Pink Lemonade Punch to really spoil your guests.
