The 4th of July is almost here, and that means it’s time to celebrate Independence Day with fireworks, BBQs, and all things red, white, and blue! To add to the fun, I've got two easy handprint crafts that are perfect for kids of all ages: a Firecracker and an Ice Cream Cone. 

These crafts are not only so much fun to make, but they also create adorable keepsakes of your child's handprints. They are also a wonderful way to help kids develop fine motor skills. Plus, who doesn't love a good handprint craft, right?

Printable Easy 4th July Craft.

Handprint art is such a fun and simple kids' craft. It's a great project to do both at home and in the classroom and an easy DIY project that is perfect for kids of all ages.

Choose from 2 different designs – a Firecracker and an Ice Cream Cone. The free printables make it easy to turn your child’s handprint into a colourful red, white and blue ice cream or a firecracker firework.

Print out the free template and have your child stamp their handprint on the front, and voila! You've got a fantastic Fourth of July craft that doubles as a thoughtful gift.

It's such a fun way to celebrate the 4th of July. My personal favourite is the firework handprint craft. You could even add star stickers or glitter paint to make the finished piece really sparkle.

How To Make A Printable 4th of July Craft.

  1. Print the Template: Start by downloading our free handprint template by signing up using your email address below. Print it out on white paper or card. This will serve as the base of your craft.

  2. Paint and Press: Paint your child’s hands with their favourite colours (non-toxic tempera paints are a great choice) and press them onto the card stock, forming the shape of the flames or ice cream. Gently press their hand down onto the paper.

  3. Dry and Frame: Let the paint dry and you have a great holiday keepsake.

Top tip: Write the date and your child's age on the back of each craft. It's a clever way to look back and remember exactly when it was created.
