Free Printable Advent Calendar.

One of my favourite parts about the run-up to Christmas Day was opening the door on my chocolate advent calendar every morning, anyone else?

I've always wanted to make my own advent calendar, but cutting out all the little doors always seems like such a big job. So instead I thought I'd make a simple printable version you can colour.

It's a great alternative to chocolate advent calendars. Each day, you’ll find a cute picture to colour featuring baubles, gingerbread men, Christmas trees, and even Santa Claus himself.

All you have to do is print, grab your markers or crayons, and you’ve got a fun Christmas countdown ready to go!

Christmas Countdown Advent Calendar.

I'm always on the hunt for Christmas crafts the whole family can get involved with - no scissors, no mess, just good old colouring fun. And colouring in your own Christmas calendar is such a fun way to countdown to the big day.

I've made two different advent calendars. Both run from December 1st up to Christmas Eve. One has all the squares numbered and filled in ready to colour and the other is a blank template that can be filled with your own designs.

This is a great way to get the older kids involved. Instead of colouring in a picture each day, they get to be creative and draw something themselves. Each day could feature a holiday theme—like drawing their version of a Christmas tree, a winter scene, or something that represents their favourite part of the season like eating a candy cane or visiting Santa.

What Can You Use Your Countdown Calendar For?

Of course, a blank template is super versatile. You can turn it into a family bucket list by filling in each day with fun activities like “make hot chocolate,” “have a family game night,” or “decorate Christmas cookies.”

Use it to plan daily acts of kindness leading up to Christmas. Write ideas like “help a friend,” “donate toys,” or “write a thank-you note” in each box. Plan your holiday baking, gift-giving, or use it for keeping track of holiday movie watching!

5. Print as many as you need.

6. Grab your marker pens, crayons, or coloured pencils and colour one new image each day. By Christmas Eve, you’ll have a fully coloured calendar that’s filled with holiday cheer!
