I recommend using a lightweight cardstock or a good quality thick paper to help make the hat sturdier. Colour in and decorate your chosen design before cutting out the extra strips for the headband.
These are a fun way to get the kids practising their fine motor skills. However, younger kids may need a little help with the cutting parts.
