How to Play Mad Libs:

  1. Choose a Story: Start with one of the Thanksgiving Mad Libs sheets, which includes a pre-written simple story with several blank spaces. These blanks will require specific types of words, like nouns, verbs, adjectives, and more.

  2. Fill in the Blanks: One player, called the "reader," asks the other players for words to fill in the blanks without revealing the context of the story. Players provide random words based on the type requested (e.g., noun, verb, or adjective).

    Types of Words Needed:

    • Noun: A person, place, or thing (e.g., "turkey," "pie," or "stuffing").

    • Verb: An action word (e.g., "carve," "gobble," or "mash").

    • Adjective: A word that describes something (e.g., "delicious," "crispy," or "gigantic").

  3. Read the Story: Once all the missing words are filled in, the reader reads the complete Mad Libs story aloud. The randomly chosen words usually lead to hilarious results.

Example:
If the story asks for an adjective and a noun, you might end up with something like this: "The crispy turkey danced on the mashed potatoes at the family feast!"

If you’re looking for a simple, no-prep, and entertaining fun way to bring laughter to your Thanksgiving break, these free printable mad libs are the perfect solution no matter if you’re celebrating in small groups or with the whole family!
