  1. Father's Day Banner: String the letters together with some ribbon or string to create a banner that spells out "DAD". Hang it up above the table for Father's Day breakfast or in his favourite spot at home.

  2. Gift Decoration: Attach the origami letters to the top of a wrapped gift for a fun and unique touch or use them as cute gift tags.

  3. Photo Frame Decoration: Use the letters to decorate a photo frame with a picture of you and your dad. Or maybe even frame the letters themselves to make a keepsake he’ll treasure forever.

Whether you use them as a standalone decoration, part of a card, or even as gift toppers, these origami letters are sure to bring a smile to Dad's face.

Supplies:

How To Make an Origami Letter ‘D’.

1. Take a square piece of origami paper and it in half along both diagonals.

To make the letters small enough to fit on the blank card I trimmed the paper down to 3.5 inches x 3.5 inches.

2. Open back out and fold all 4 corners into the centre.

3. Unfold the top and bottom corners.

4. Fold in half to make a house shape.

5. Rotate 90 degrees and fold the point backwards about halfway in.

6. Flip over to reveal your finished letter ‘D’.

How to make an Origami Letter ‘A’.

1. Take a square piece of origami paper and it in half along both diagonals.

2. Fold the top corner down and into the centre.

3. Take the right hand corner and fold it in to meet the middle crease.

4. Fold the left hand corner in and make sure the edges line up.

5. Flip your folded origami paper over.

6. Fold the bottom point up to form the letter ‘A’.

7. Stick your origami letters onto a blank card.

To get your origami letters to sit flat you will need to stick them down with a little glue.
