DIY WATERCOLOUR SUCCULENT NOTECARDS.

Diy Watercolour Succulent Notecards

How about a little watercolour goodness to kick off the week?

As soon as I saw these gorgeous watercolour succulent illustrations from Gold And Berry pop up on Pinterest I knew I wanted to make something fun with them. You can download the whole collection of high-resolutions images for free and use them however you want. I used some blank cards, scrapbook paper and the free watercolour succulent clipart to make some simple diy notecards.

I've always liked making my own cards and this is a nice way of making a whole bunch of cards really quickly. I left mine blank so I could use them as thank you notes but you could easily customise them and use them as birthday cards, new home, get well soon etc.

Supplies: Blank cards // scrapbook paper (I used the Amy Tangerine Stitched paper and the some of the Maggie Holmes paper) // Gold And Berry's Free Watercolour Succulent Cactus Clipart // washi tape // scissors // glue

I started off by downloading the succulent clipart, picking 6 of my favourites and resizing them to 3x3 inch squares. I printed them out onto some thin card and cut them to size.

I hate throwing away all those odd shaped scraps of paper so making these cards was a great way to use up some of my scrapbook paper stash. I cut some of the leftover paper down to 3.5x3.5 inch squares and layered them up behind the watercolour cacti to create a border.

I played around with the colour and pattern combinations until I was happy with them and then used paper glue and washi tape to stick them down. The whole project only took an hour and now I've got a set of really cute handmade notecards to use whenever I want.
